Summer Camps 2022
Ontario Prospects Baseball Club Summer Baseball Camps are available for players aged 8-14. We offer two options, an All-Skills Baseball Camp for Beginners and House League players and a High-Performance Baseball Camp for more experienced players currently enrolled in rep or elite programs. We guarantee a FUN, SAFE and INSTRUCTIONAL Camp experience for all Summer Camps. All camps are held at our indoor Ajax 7,000 sq. foot facility with 4 Batting Cages, turf field, pitching pounds, an arm care tunnel and a fully equipped gym. All our Summer Baseball Camps serve players in the Durham Region and GTA; all within a 10-20 min drive from OPBC. Summer Camp Overview
The All-Skills Camp teaches Catching, Throwing, Fielding, Base running, Hitting and Situational baseball and each camp session ends with a controlled coach pitch game or homerun derby to allow each camper the experience of putting their newly learned skills into action. $300+HST Camp Fees/session for the All-Skills Camp includes all instruction and a baseball hat.
Our High-Performance Camp focuses more on the mechanics, advanced techniques, and approach of playing at a higher level. Hitting, Pitching, Catching and Fielding drills that are all geared to help the rep-level campers, learn fundamentals and advanced techniques that will separate them from their competition. High-performance campers will work with our coaches, and current Prospects players, including daily hitting instruction from former pro player, Olympian and current JNT Coach Andy Stewart. Camps include analytical evaluations with the latest technology equipment from Rapsodo, one of the leading sources for player evaluations in today’s game. $350+HST/session for the High-Performance Camp includes all instruction, a Prospects baseball hat, and Prospects performance shirt.
All camps are structured to allow each camper time with a multitude of coaches as they rotate around our camp stations learning the finer points of the game. Camps are held indoors at our Ajax facility, in Durham Region, within the GTA. All Camps run from Monday to Thursday, begin at 9:00 am and conclude at 1:00pm each day.
Typical Daily All-Skills Camp Schedule:
9:00- 9:05: Daily Welcome of Campers and Agenda for the Day
9:05- 9:30: Campers Break into Groups. Functional Warm Up and Stretch
9:30 – 10:15: Daily Fundamental. Base Running, Fielding, Throwing,
10:15 – 11:00: Hitting: Campers move through various hitting stations
11:00 – 11:40: Snack/Lunch
11:40 – 12:00: Warm-up and recap of morning
12:00 – 12:55: Daily Controlled Coach Pitch 2-Base game. Teams are divided equally by age and skill.
12:55 – 1:00: Clean-up and parent pick up
*Water Breaks are given on every rotation to keep campers hydrated and cool
Typical Daily High-Performance Camp Schedule:
9:00- 9:05: Daily Welcome of Campers and Agenda for the Day
9:05- 9:30: Campers Break into Groups. Dynamic Warm Up and Stretch
9:30 – 10:30: Daily Skills Drills: Fielding, Throwing, baserunning
10:30 – 11:15: Strength & Conditioning: Daily workout with our S&C coaches
11:15 – 11:45: Snack/Lunch
11:45 – 12:00: Dynamic Warm-up
12:00 – 12:55: Hitting: Campers move through various hitting stations with Pro Coach Andy Stewart
12:55 – 1:00: Clean-up and parent pick-up

Camper Safety and Rules

What to Bring to Camp

Comfortable Shorts or Baseball Pants

Bottle of water or sports drink. Water re-fills are available at the facility

Healthy Snack or Lunch (peanut free is requested).

Watching the Camp
Ontario Prospects Baseball Club welcomes parents, grandparents, and friends to all our camps to watch your child participate. Our baseball facility has tables, chairs, coaches, Wi-Fi and power outlets for your use. The field of play is completely visible form our lobby and bordered by protective netting.
